1.  Stuti Gupta and Agnim Gupta, Amrutam

In 2016, the future of Amrutam, an ayurvedic enterprise by Ashok Gupta and Chandrakanta Gupta appeared bleak. Brother-sister duo, Stuti Gupta and Agnim Gupta stepped in to rescue the business and undertook its transformation.  After more than a decade of supplying herbal medicines to pharmacies and healthcare professionals, they decided to revamp the business by rebranding and relabelling the products. They also started selling premium personal and healthcare OTC products directly to consumers via their website. .

Upon entering the business, their first step was to establish an online presence. In 2018, Agnim and Stuti initiated social media advertising and leveraged influencer marketing, which proved successful in attracting customers. During FY ‘21, the brand recorded a turnover of ₹2.78 crores.

2.  Almas Nanda and Amin Virji, Inc.5

In response to the limited availability of comfortable footwear options for women, Almas Nanda and her brother Amin Virji embarked on a mission to address this issue. Almas recognised the common dilemma faced by women, having to choose between fashionable yet uncomfortable high heels or bland and comfortable flats. Back in 1998, at the age of 24, she established Inc.5, a brand dedicated to offering women stylish footwear that didn't compromise on comfort. Amin Virji, in turn, transformed Almas' vision of a concept footwear store into a thriving leader in the domestic footwear industry. The family attributes their current success to the collective effort and teamwork of family members and dedicated employees. Inc.5 has expanded its presence in Tier I and Tier II cities, including Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, and Pune, achieving an impressive annual turnover of ₹163 crores.

3.  Shivang & Shivika Sood

Hailing from Pune, this enterprising sibling duo embarked on a shared journey in 2017 to transform their mother's mouthwatering kheer recipes into a thriving business. Under the banner of ‘La Kheer Deli,’ they skillfully blend contemporary flavours with the heartwarming essence of traditional homemade kheer.

Their initiative started as a weekend dessert cart, but quickly evolved into a successful franchise. Today, this dynamic sibling duo owns six outlet stores across Pune. Offering delectable options like Coupe Dry Fruit Kheer, Coupe Gulkand Kheer, Coupe Nutella Kheer, Coupe Mocha Kheer, Coupe Brownie Kheer, and many more, their annual revenue has soared past ₹1 crore.

In a remarkable twist, they not only craft delectable kheer but also promote environmental sustainability. They source their seeds, and according to Marketing Minds, their brand has sold over three lakh seeds since its inception. The team encourages customers to plant these seeds in the cups they leave behind after enjoying their kheer, ensuring that their impact extends far beyond the threshold of their stores.

4. Avantika and Mrityunjay Jalan

This brother-sister team decided to leave their lucrative urban jobs and return to their roots, quite literally. Avantika and Mritunjay have been passionately dedicated to fostering organic tea production on their expansive 600-hectare tea estate located in Chota Tingrai, Assam.

Originating from their entrepreneurial venture, Mana Organics, which collaborates with rural communities in India, they expanded their vision to transform their family's estate into a haven for tea enthusiasts, while ensuring sustainable income generation.

5. Nikki Kumar Jha and Rashmi Jha

Hailing from Naya Tola Dudhela village in Bihar, this brother-sister duo grew up witnessing the immense wastage of horticultural produce due to the lack of proper storage facilities. Together, they established a storage solution called 'Sabjikothi' under their startup, Saptkrishi.

'Sabjikothi' is a cost-effective, self-assembled storage device that significantly extends the shelf life of fruits and vegetables, increasing it from a mere three days to 30 days. What sets it apart is its portability – it can be easily transported on a 'thela' (cart) and requires minimal power, equivalent to what your mobile phone consumes.

Their primary focus is on expanding their business by establishing an omnichannel sales network that encompasses trade fairs, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), as well as digital platforms such as e-commerce and social media.
