13th September 2025 was a bright, buzzing day in Bengaluru, the perfect backdrop for the fourth edition of Chhalaang, India’s largest women-only hackathon. Hosted at BHIVE, the energy in the room was electric as women technologists from across the country came together to innovate, collaborate, and make their mark.
As the digital media partner, Her Circle was thrilled to witness the power of this movement up close. With over 17,500 registrations and 350 finalists, Chhalaang 4.0 proved yet again why it is more than a hackathon, it’s a stage for women to take the lead in shaping the future of tech.
This year, real-world challenges took centre stage with problem statements from Sprinto, Acko, Porter, and Tricog, covering everything from compliance and healthtech to insurtech and logistics. Over 65 finalist teams coded, collaborated, and pitched for 12 straight hours, turning ideas into prototypes that impressed industry leaders.
When the dust settled, Team PairCoders - Aishwarya Suresh, Ananya J, Kavisha Mathur, and Samyuktha M S, claimed the top spot. The 1st Runners-Up, The Valkyries - Prachi Sukhija, Surbhi Jain, and Rishika Jassal, and the 2nd Runners-Up, Zero to One - Nayana K Murthy and Vasavi Agarwal also stole the show with their brilliant solutions.
Special prizes made the day even more memorable as Archishiya Kapoor took home the Youngest Participant award, Ranjitha Vallaboja & Anusha Jain were named Fastest Coders, and Arti Kumari won the Farthest Traveller award for her dedication.
Jury member Arpit from Blume Ventures summed up the spirit of the day beautifully:
“Watching young women push boundaries and solve real-world challenges with creativity and resilience has been inspiring. Chhalaang is more than a competition — it’s a movement.”
The event wouldn’t have been the same without the incredible ecosystem of partners from BHIVE to Purplle, Plix, Plush, Sirona, Intrcity, Wendy’s, and more who brought their unique flavour to the experience.
Participants also got a chance to learn directly from industry leaders through mentorship sessions and an AMA that was packed with practical advice on tech, leadership, and thriving as a woman in this space.
At its heart, Chhalaang remains a platform for change and a celebration of women who are ambitious, bold and unapologetically themselves. As Sanam Rawal and Swati Gupta of MetaMorph shared:
“What started as a platform to celebrate talent has grown into a movement shaping the leaders of tomorrow.”
Her Circle was proud to stand alongside this inspiring initiative and we can’t wait to see where Chhalaang leaps next.
