With sustainability as the focal point for the month of June 2022, we, at Her Circle, strived our best to keep things at our covershoot as eco-friendly as possible. The brands that supported us on the fashion front played a huge role in not only keeping it sustainable thanks to their brand ideologies but also got our cover women looking and feeling stylish.Ek holds up its conscious sensibilities by creating the brands easy and versatile silhouettes using Indian indigenous textile crafts. Eks Delhi studio also includes an in-house block printing facility for their artisans. The brand adheres to a limited production cap per machine to stick to a small batch production policy, as well as keeping the facility sustainable by sticking to a minimum waste and reduced carbon footprint principle. The brands designs exude a sense of freedom, given the attention of minute details, be it through black printed motifs or embroidery or the use of diaphanous fabrics that feel light as a feather. While Ek uses its fair share of muted tones and earthy hues, the brand doesnt shy away from vibrant bursts of colour in their own ways, keeping in mind the brands unique sense of design. Their latest 2022 collection, Salt, set against the pristine and coarse landscape of Kutch, Gujarat, sees an array of whites with bright pinks, blues and greens, including their signature delicate motifs, stripes and checkered prints.
