As a part of ASICS Sportstyle’s GEL-LYTE V sneaker’s 30th anniversary celebration, the brand has launched a limited edition capsule collection of the sneaker in a new sustainable avatar. The newly dropped GEL LYTE TM V RE: COLLABORATION & RE: MATERIAL are modified using leftover materials from past designs and collaborations.
The GEL-LYTE™ V RE: COLLABORATION sneaker gives new life to a range of influences from 30 iconic GEL-LYTE™ V collaborations whilst using the patchwork aesthetic to use a mix of materials like different suede, nubuck, and mesh for a completely new look. On the other hand, the GEL-LYTE™ V RE: MATERIAL sneaker uses leftover material for a sneaker that’s unique in style and comfort. Furthermore, the brand has also revamped the midsole’s construction to include about 20 per cent recycled materials to take another step towards conscious production. The capsule drop includes 108 pairs in each style available in India.

With an added focus on transparency, the brand has also included special edition shoeboxes with each pair that feature a QR code. This code will redirect the customer to a GEL-LYTE™ V microsite with more information about the collection's design process.
