At Art Musings in Colaba, Maya Burman presents Gardens of Song, a solo exhibition featuring works from the last seven years of her practice. Burman’s intricate, tapestry-like compositions weave together figures, flora, birds, and ornamental motifs into dreamlike, rhythmic worlds that draw from both Indian traditions and European art histories. The artist will be present during the Mumbai Gallery Weekend for interactive sessions, making this an especially immersive experience.
2. WomanGrove- Scapes of Still and Life, Multiple Women Artists
At Art and Soul Gallery in Worli, WomanGrove explores how women artists have nurtured their practices in the background and are now emerging into the spotlight. Drawing on the metaphor of the mangrove forest, which is often resilient, expansive, and deeply rooted, the exhibition reclaims the genre of still life and highlights the contributions of women across generations and abilities.
