They call me MOM!

Is it ever easy to describe what the word ‘mother’ and the person who is called by this name, means to us? Of course not! From literally being the source of our lives to its key inspiration and support, mothers are everything we hope them to be…and more. To celebrate the mums, Her Circle decided to explore what motherhood means to people across the length and breadth of India. While it may be difficult to define mothers or what their value is for each and every one of us, we asked a few people if they could describe their mother with one, powerful-yet-loving word.

Their answers revealed that the love and respect we have for mothers transcends the boundaries of language, region and every other identity you can think of. Mothers are above it all, and so is the immense role they play in building the foundation of our nation and our individual lives.
