Brinda Miller, Fine Artist: Carving A Niche In The Indian Art Space

Brinda Miller, fine artist; honorary chairperson of the Kala Ghoda Association; education consultant, CSMVS; and director of ABM Designs talks to Her Circle about her journey in the Indian art space, her greatest achievements and what power really means to her. On the gender gap in the Indian arts space, she explains, “When we [women] are growing up and we even if we do go to art college or art school as I did, I think a lot of people think that we are going to end up doing this, you know, in our free time or as a hobby. A lot of men are opting for this career, but it's a bit like, you know, in the field of the culinary arts. For example, It is the women who cook at home, but it is the men who actually, you know, make it big in the in the career of culinary arts.” For the complete interview, watch our video.
