Her Circle Bizruptors: Monisha Hatkar, Founder - Mind Your Tongue

Monisha Hatkar, a home chef and the founder of Mind Your Tongue, is the inspiring brain behind a home-cooked meal delivery service. Her journey began in 2014 when her youngest daughter, born with a rare genetic condition, was hospitalised due to severe malnutrition. She wasn’t able to eat the food made by the cooks at home.. Determined to find a solution, Monisha and her mother started cooking special meals and delivering them to people in need.

What began as a small effort soon grew into a full-fledged business. People loved the tasty, healthy meals, and word spread quickly. Realising that many other home chefs could benefit from a similar setup, Monisha expanded Mind Your Tongue into a platform for multiple home chefs to work together.

These chefs, many of them middle-aged or elderly women, brought their passion for cooking to a wider audience. They use their own kitchens, keeping costs low while maintaining high quality. This collaborative model allows them to serve more people across Mumbai without the need for a huge investment towards the cost of infrastructure.

Mind Your Tongue’s success relies on word of mouth, with no need for extensive marketing. Monisha’s dedication to quality and innovation has helped many chefs develop their own businesses as well. She sees her work as more than just a business—it’s a way to create a health revolution by providing nutritious meals.

Monisha’s journey from a concerned mother to a successful entrepreneur shows how personal challenges can lead to positive change. Her story is a powerful example of resilience, community, and the impact of healthy food.
