Social Experiment: Perception vs. Reality

Reality defies perception. Diversity accepts all. At Her Circle, we believe that open conversations and experiential learning around diversity lead the way for an inclusive society where skills and achievements take precedence over preconceived notions. We decided to put the famous notion - Don’t judge a book by its cover to test with a social experiment to demonstrate the contrast between initial perceptions and realities when it comes to relating people to their areas of interest and professions.

Multiple Props

Her Circle placed 5 unique individuals as participants, all wearing black in a room. We asked 5 observers all in white to guess which prop belonged to a participant of their choice and sit across them. The final reveal of why we must not judge a book by its cover was the intent.
