Show up for yourself!

Starting a new year on the right note comes with extra-large doses of pressure. My entire life I have begun January One like the girl Santa would fall over on his reindeers to reward with the fanciest, most magnificent gifts. My solipsistic flourish crashes with a thud by the time Christmas happens—any opportunity of even earning a pat on the back from the jolly ol’ chap vanishes by the year-end.

Have I learned anything from past debacles? Nada/zilch/sifar.

Ever enthusiastically I have set out to line up my 2023 organiser with ambitious punch-the-clouds ideas. But with a difference. An eight-step key that may save me from being the naughtiest one at Santa’s 2023 reprisal. From wellness to career or even finance and relationships, these are the basic strategies I plan to employ.

Imagine. Never Small.

Analyse. Look around, window shop and scope out your strengths.

Plan. Down to the last detail with Plan B and C in place.

Believe. In yourself.

Build. Begin with enthusiasm and all possible resources.

Move. Ahead and allow yourself time for mistakes/excuses.

Pivot. If you don’t see it succeed in the first few months, transition but don’t give up.

Show up. For yourself.
