58% Ready To Quit Their Jobs If Forced To Return To Work: Study

Work from home has become the norm as the Coronavirus pandemic forced employees around the world to stay indoors. Now, it seems like it has become the preferred way of life for workers.

As per a survey conducted by FlexJobs—a portal that allows work from home — 65 per cent of the 2,100 individuals interviewed stated that they wanted to remain full-time remote workers.

The survey took into account US citizens (72 per cent), Canadians (4 per cent) and sections of people around the world (24 per cent). Out of all the individuals who answered, 74 per cent were women, 25 per cent were men, and one per cent preferred to not identify.

It was also found that 58 per cent are willing to look for a new job if their current one no longer offers them an option to work remotely. 31 per cent were unsure of the plan forward, while the remaining 11 per cent said that remote working wasn’t that big of a deal.

When asked as to why do they prefer working from home, 49 per cent of respondents said that it was due to the fear, exposure and infection to coronavirus. 46 per cent are of the opinion that coming back to the office means less flexibility, 43 per cent feel it affects work-life balance.
