3 Ways To Revamp Old Saris

Convert Into An Anarkali Or Lehenga

An anarkali or lehenga requires about five meters of fabric and most saris are made of at least five-and-a-half meters. So if you want to convert your sari into a silhouette you’ll wear more often, an anarkali or lehenga will make optimal use of your sari fabric. All you’ll need to get is fabric for your blouse (in case of a lehenga) and some fabric for lining.

Add Finishing Touches

Old saris may tend to lose their finishing, especially towards the hems. To fix this and wear your saris without damaging them further, you can add some finishing touches to revamp any old sari. Add silk piping or an embroidered lace at the hem for damage control and a chic look. For heavily embroidered saris, you can also add a soft net layer at the pallu to safeguard any embellishments or zari threads from coming undone.
