Goa Stores That Will Make You Want To Shop Local

Goa Stores That Will Make You Want To Shop Local

The beach bum in me has always had a soft spot for Goa for its beaches. But during recent trips, I’ve come to realise there’s a lot more to it than just the hippie life and beautiful beaches. Here are six Goa stores I discovered that will leave you wanting to shop local!

Rare Republic, Siolim

Rare Republic is one of many concept stores at the beach paradise. Apart from its fresh bakes and brilliant cafe menu, they also have an adjoining clothing store that houses some beach perfect clothes, swimsuits as well as home decor. The store is also size-inclusive and has a mini changing room so you can rest assured that you’ll get the perfect fit.

Watch Out For: Kimonos, kaftans, swimsuits

Studio Verandah, Anjuna

Studio Verandah, the clothing brand by Anjali Patel, opened up a store in Goa last year. They have what you can call the perfect summer wardrobe, all under one roof. From bright hues to eclectic prints, the brand has a lot to offer if you’re looking for breezy dresses, kaftans, jewellery, or even swimwear.

Watch Out For: Dresses, swimwear

No Nasties, Assagao

No Nasties is a Goa-based ethical fashion brand that is available online on their website as well as at their store in Assagao. The brand makes its clothes using organic cotton for both men and women. From knits and basics to unique prints and lightweight layers, No Nasties is a brand you can rely on for wardrobe staples.

Watch Out For: Basics, printed shirts, dresses

Flame Store, Candolim

The Flame Store caught my attention while driving by the Candolim market, and it turned out to be one of my most-loved finds. This multi-designer store stocks everything from clothes, accessories, home decor, and even beauty products. Their curations are bohemian, chic, and one-of-a-kind. They also have their own collections at the stores along with other designers.

Watch Out For: Jewellery, cotton dresses, bohemian home décor

Mermaid’s Boutique, Anjuna

Another lucky find, this tiny store is next to the really famous Mr. Gelato in the Anjuna area of Goa. Mermaid’s Boutique has one of the most colourful, pick-me-up pieces to look out for. They have a huge range of swimsuits, kimonos, bags and dresses to choose from. They also house different unique designers in their boutique, so make sure to look out for them.

Watch Out For: Bikinis, dresses, bags

Chintamani Alchemistry, Mandrem

This store, tucked in the Mandrem area of Goa, is nothing less than a bohemian paradise. Chintamani Alchemistry houses conscious wear in majorly neutral and earthy hues as well as vegan boots and accessories. Make sure you give the store a visit for your dose of boho chic.

Watch Out For: Vegan accessories, neutral boho basics

Make sure you spare a day for your shopping spree during the next Goa trip!
